The third annual cornhole tournament benefiting Riley Hospital For Children is scheduled for Aug. 27 at Dewamac Park, off of Old 30, Warsaw, starting at 10 a.m.
All proceeds will be donated to Riley Hospital for Children.
Brent and Dara Howard started this event three years ago, after they said they saw “the miracles” performed on their son, Deacon, by Riley Hospital for Children, and wanted to “give back to them in some way.”
His parents said Deacon would not be alive if it was not for Riley Hospital for Children.
Event organizers said it is designed to be a fun, exciting way of getting the community involved in donating to Riley Hospital for Children.
Besides the cornhole tournament, which will have cash rewards for the top finishers, there will also be a raffle drawing of various prizes that have been donated by businesses in the area. Food and beverages also will be available.
