MIDDLEBURY - Cornelius H. Troyer, 86, of 1332 Waterford Crossing Goshen, died at 5:32 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009, in Maples at Waterford Crossing, Goshen.

He was born April 1, 1923, in Midland, Mich., to Edward and Ann Bontrager Troyer. On June 17, 1944, he married Carolyn Hostetler, who died June 17, 2003.

He lived in Silver Lake from 1979- 97, and in Warsaw from 1997-2006. He was a livestock buyer until 1997 and then delivered cars for Bart's Cars. He was a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Troyer, Plymouth, and Cathy (and spouse William) Searcy, Elkhart; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; four sisters, Fannie Yoder, Hicksville, Ohio; Myrtle Bontrager, Elkhart; Edna Lengacher; Woodburn; and Anna Mae Miller, Leo; and a brother, Eugene Troyer, Wolcottville. He was preceded in death by two daughters, a son and a brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, with Pastor James A. Beeler officiating. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
