Ian James Clark, 34, of EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail around 6:42 p.m. Friday, charged with aggravated battery. His bond was set at $250,000.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Detectives are investigating the incident that led to his arrest as a possible homicide.Around 2:01 p.m. Friday, the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a resident at 375 EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton, regarding a two-year old girl who was not breathing.
When Kosciusko County Deputy Sheriff Shane Bucher arrived at the scene, Matara Tell Muchowicz, 21, was outside the residence carrying her daughter, Samantha Muchowicz, 2.
Bucher used his automated external defribrillator and began CPR until EMS crews arrived.
Samantha Muchowicz was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead from multiple injuries.

If the child's death is ruled a homicide, it will be Kosciusko County's third since Wednesday when Omar Mora allegedly gunned down his wife Lisa Heather Mora at their Vicky Lane home and convenience store manager Harpal Singh outside Lane's Phillips 66 in Warsaw.
Police have been looking for Omar Mora since the incident. Mora remains at large.
