Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of a 30-year-old Warsaw man after he allegedly knifed a 20-inch gash into the arm of a city teen at a party early Saturday, critically injuring him. Michael Casey Bryant, 30, of 1903 Robin Drive, is wanted by authorities in connection to the stabbing that left 18-year-old Cody Joseph Thomas Slone bleeding extensively in the roadway of the 1900 block of Robin Drive just before 1 a.m. Saturday. Bryant faces charges of Class B felony aggravated battery and Class C felony battery with a deadly weapon. He has not been arrested. According to Sgt. Chad Hill of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Slone had invited Bryant and Bryant's unnamed girlfriend to a party at the Robin Drive home. Hill said an argument erupted at the party between Bryant and several other men at the party, which spilled into the yard of the home then into the street. Witnesses told police that Bryant, Bryant’s girlfriend and Slone began to walk back toward Bryant’s home when Bryant pulled a 4-inch pocket knife and cut Slone’s arm, Hill said. Slone collapsed to the ground, and Bryant returned to his home before leaving the area, Hill said. Slone was found shortly later bleeding profusely, according to police, with a 20-inch gash that severed an artery and a muscle in his arm. He was taken to Kosciusko County Hospital before being transferred to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne in critical condition. He remains in “stable” condition. The relationship between Bryant and Slone is unclear, and a motive for the stabbing was not released by authorities.
