Cops Find 'Death Shrine' During Fire Call At Home

Posted
A report of a fire led police to discover what they are calling a "death shrine" in a Warsaw house Wednesday night.

Warsaw police and fire departments responded to a report of a house fire at 1608 Tippecanoe Drive at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday.

Neighbors reported the fire after smelling smoke.

When police and fire crews arrived, they found what is being termed as a "death shrine" with candles, statues and letters.

The candles from the shrine overran the glass holders they were in, causing the smoke smell.

Although fire crews were on hand, they weren't needed to put out any fire.

Specific law enforcement officials were named in some of the material at the shrine, but police declined to release the names.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are trying to contact the occupants of the apartment.
