Warsaw Community Public Library is offering free cooking classes starting Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.
“Stretch: Cooking On A Budget” is a four-week program (every Wednesday evening in September) about thrifty ways to prepare healthy, inexpensive meals, with as little stress as possible. Each week will have a different theme.
Week one is menu planning; week two, grocery shopping on a budget; week three, food prep and cooking tips; and week four is healthy substitutions for convenience food.
Each person registered will receive a binder with forms for menu planning and budgeting so they will have the chance to practice these new skills in class.
There also will be a drawing on the last night for some Pampered Chef items.
