Sacred Heart School’s Kindergarten Prep 4 and Pre-Kindergarten 3 classes conducted a service project this past Christmas. On Dec. 17, the preschool classes teamed up to decorate a total of 1,500 cookies for Our Father’s House. With the help of several parents, the preschoolers frosted, decorated, and wrapped lots of cookies for less-fortunate families. Our Father’s House provided the cookies. The preschoolers decorated the cookies with M&Ms and sprinkles. Then the cookies were place on trays in cellophane paper and bows to wrap them up in holiday style. Martin’s Supermarket donated trays and sprinkles for the cookies. The students loved decorating the cookies as well as sampling one of them after their decorating time was finished. The KPrep 4 class meets five days a week or has the option to choose a four-day program that meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. or noon to 2:30 p.m. The teacher is Lili Polk.
