Sacred Heart School preschoolers decorated cookies for Christ to be donated to Our Father’s House for families in need during the Christmas season. The preschool classes, pre-k 4, Lili Polk and pre-k 3, Cindy Hollowell, conducted a service project this Christmas. On Dec. 13, the preschool classes teamed up to decorate a total of 2,000 cookies for Our Father’s House. With the help of several parents they frosted, decorated and wrapped lots of cookies for less-fortunate families. Our Father’s House provided the cookies. The preschoolers brought in sprinkles, M&M’s, chocolate kisses and others items to decorate the cookies as well as colored cellophane paper rolls and bows to wrap them up in holiday style. Students loved decorating the cookies as well as sampling one of them after their decorating time was finished. Preschool students pictured (L to R) are: Helen Ihnen, Dominic Manwaring, Dauren Vilamaa, Samantha Deleon, Beckham Boylan and Jack Burnett. The students also celebrated the story ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ in their pajamas.
