Convicted Child Molester Arrested For Second TimeA Warsaw man was arrested Monday for allegedly molesting a child under 14, having been convicted of child molestation in a different case four years ago.

Andrew Steven Finch, 37, of 3793 N. Ind. 15, #1, Warsaw, is charged with three charges of child molesting, Level 1 felonies; and child molesting, a Level 4 felony.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 1:46 p.m. Monday on a $101,000 preliminary bond.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Aug. 25 a Milford Police Department officer was dispatched to a call in reference to child molestation. When the officer arrived on scene, he spoke with a woman who said Finch had molested a child on at least two occasions. The woman said she was out of town and Finch was babysitting her children.  When the woman returned home, she was told of Finch’s alleged molestation.

The woman said she knew Finch previously and he had been coming to her house since June to hang out. She said she was unaware Finch was a registered sex offender, according to the affidavit.

On Aug. 25, the child submitted to an examination at the Sexual Assault Treatment Center in Fort Wayne. During the interview, the child said the incident happened on the couch in the living room.

On Aug. 26, a forensic interview was done. During the interview, the child said the sexual acts occurred multiple times and always happened at the residence.

Finch was convicted of child molesting in Kosciusko Superior Court I on April 12, 2018.
