Following decisions regarding massage ordinance violations during Friday's Warsaw Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, members wrapped up contract agreements for 2006 services.
One unanimous approval by the board approved 15 contracts for various city departments and local organizations, including:
A $9,600 parking lot agreement with Larry Polk and Warsaw for the 2006 year.
A Warsaw Housing Authority contract totaling $25,000 for services throughout next year.
Six parks department contracts for advertising and publication fees. Five companies now will promote a June 16 classic rock concert and Spectraprint will publish the 2006 parks and recreation brochure.
A fire department contract with Firehouse Software Support for maintenance support for technical and operations assistance. This contract totals $700 for yearly services.
A $8,000 contract with the Cardinal Center to support the Sus Amigos program.
Two $450 contracts with Komputrol Software Systems for disaster recovery agreements with the sewage collection and clerk treasurer's offices.
Also approved was an agreement with the Kosciusko County Recreation and Visitors Bureau for $6,095 in funds to be used for advertising the June 16 classic rock show.
Jennifer Whitaker, director of the human resources department, presented the board with a new take-home vehicle policy, which will monitor miles driven in city automobiles to better estimate taxable fringe benefits for city employees. The new policy passed unanimously.
In related matters, members passed requests for 2006 take-home vehicles from various departments as well as approving salary increases for all city workers.
Policemen Brian Roberts and Jaime De la Fuente will change shift responsibilities starting Jan. 1. Roberts will become a second-shift patrol officer and De la Fuente will have a similar position on third shift.
