A Warsaw family lost the contents of their home early this morning when their house caught on fire.

The home at 1602 Fox Farm Road is owned by Charles A. Fawley and occupied by family members, Jeffery A. Fawley and his sons, Daniel and Christopher.

A 911 call was placed from the home after Daniel and a friend were awakened at 2:19 a.m. today by a family pet. The occupants of the home discovered the house filling with smoke and went to check a wood burner in the home. The fire was in the basement of the residence and it then spread to the main floor living area.

Warsaw firefighters were able to contain the fire to the separate areas of the residence, according to a press release. Although the fire was under control within 30 minutes of being detected, the family sustained a complete loss of personal items, and damage to the residence from fire, smoke and water is estimated at $18,000.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
