Kim Leake, Warsaw public works superintendent, advises area residents to expect traffic congestion on Detroit Street, between Winona Avenue and Center Street, Wednesday and Thursday.
"We'll be laying asphalt along the three-block section of Detroit Street," Leake said. "We're asking local residents to avoid the area to reduce congestion."
Traffic will be rerouted to Buffalo Street, up to Center Street and over to Detroit Street while the work is being done, he said.
The road work is part of a long-range agreement with the state to improve the highway, and follows expansion of Ind. 15N two years ago.
