Editor, Times-Union: Big thank you to Marjorie Vance and the concerned citizens of Kosciusko County for your steadfast work in keeping our county clean.
I now find myself and my neighbors facing a 90,000 chicken CAFO just a stones throw away from our properties. Marjorie you’re right about the misleading information in the CAFO letters. You were very eloquent in your “CAFO ALERT” letter to the editor.
Unfortunately I would have put it more bluntly so thank you!
90,000 Chickens and 4,6020 hogs? These CAFO’s are not the mom and pop farms we are used to. This is big business, forget the little guy or the common home owner these CAFO owners are in for the big bucks no matter what song and dance they want to give and they do it at our expense.
So please wise up and stand up, people in Kosciusko county. You may find a CAFO proposed to come to your neighborhood as I did.
