Editor, Times-Union: What have I missed? I have tried to read all the letters concerning Lincoln School. From children’s parents, business leaders, a former mayor, school board members and many others writing of all the problems that Lincoln has from outdated equipment, leaks in the roof, electrical outlets, problems with storage, capped restrooms, ceiling tile and other safety issues. Why hasn’t Lincoln School been condemned? If any home in Warsaw had this many problems, the house would have been demolished a long time ago. Even if Lincoln’s staff is outstanding, which probably it is, if one child is in harm’s way, who’s to blame? These problems just didn’t happen overnight. If I had a child that went to Lincoln School I wouldn’t ask for a transfer, I would demand one. Remember the old saying “not in my backyard.” Now the saying should be “not in my billfold.” Paul Fribley Warsaw
