Will someone please explain to me how federal people even perhaps including President Bush can call what agents Ramos & Compean did on the border with Mexico a crime?
For anyone who doesn't know, he shot a drug smuggler on our side of the river with a load of dope in the fanny. How can that be a crime? Now on Monday we hear that Bush has commuted their sentences, but no pardon. In my view a full pardon with compensation would have been the fair and proper ruling.
I am thanking Pres Bush for his action but he could have done much better. Those poor guys spent two years in prison with one of them being badly beaten in the process. And on top of it all, think what those poor families at home have gone through.
