Housing Opportunities of Warsaw, on behalf of the mayor’s office, will be conducting a community survey of the neighborhood between the Little Crow Foods and the former Gatke building. The surveys will be conducted this summer. The city would like to know what residents think about the strengths of their neighborhood and what potential they see for their community. Leading up to the survey process are HOW employees Marissa Brown and Erik Scott, both interns from Grace College. This is HOW’s first survey in a new community effort to learn about the hopes of Warsaw residents and create a voice for community residents. HOW is a non-profit organization serving the housing needs of disabled, elderly and low- to moderate-income families. They also provide tools to communities in Kosciusko County to assist with neighborhood revitalization. This community survey will provide a tool for elected officials to determine and begin to prioritize needs in the community.
