Operation Read USA Inc. is holding a car rally to benefit children and adults in Northern Indiana.
The event is June 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3600 Commerce Drive, Warsaw.
This is an opportunity for the community and car lovers to rally around and support reading, according to a news release from Operation Read. Operation Read provides books and tutoring locally to children and adults in poverty.
The event is free to the public. There will be a book bank to drop off new books for children ages birth to 5 years. A children’s car scavenger hunt with prizes will help keep them engaged.
Classic 107.3 WRSW will be on location from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with general items raffled off, including a Ziebart exterior detailing package valued at $200-$300. There will be purse raffles, including a Michael Kors with MRSP of $200. Partner agencies will be on hand to explain their services and join in the community event.
Car registration is $25 ($30 day of show) with 14 categories being judged. The lead judge is flying in from California and has over 20 years car judging experience as well as judging the esteemed Concours d’Elegance.
Registration forms can be printed off at https://www.operationreadusa.org/events/mail-in-registration or register and pay online at https://www.operationreadusa.org/events/online-registration.
