Watson will not be competing in the annual Community Quiz Bowl, but lots of locals will take part.

Watson is the supercomputer from the "Jeopardy! Challenge".

The Warsaw Education Foundation will host the Community Quiz Bowl fundraiser March 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Tiger Den.

The WEF is inviting teams from area businesses and organizations to register via their new website, www.warsaweducationfoundation.org, to compete in the Quiz Bowl.

Each five-person team will cooperatively formulate one answer to each question from this year's Quiz Bowl categories. The categories this year include academics, 2010 year in review, Kosciusko County history and food trivia.

Lake City Bank will sponsor "halftime" refreshments, and Maple Leaf Farms is the Valedictorian Level sponsor. Honor Roll level sponsors include DePuy, Jansen Orthopaedic Clinic and Silveus Insurance.

This year's event also will feature a silent auction. Participants, as well as audience members, may bid on a variety of items including a one-time training and first flight lesson package from Warsaw Flying Club; 2011 Senior PGA Championship tickets at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky.; Notre Dame versus Michigan State football tickets; algebra tutoring, a jewelry-making class; golf lessons; Pottery Bayou Kiln fee and clay piece; WCHS Performing Arts Center tickets; Emerald Coast Chocolates; Spectrum Day Spa Manicure; a case of roast half duck from Maple Leaf Farms; and original artwork, pottery pieces and fused glass jewelry created by Warsaw Community Schools' students whose teachers have been recipients of Warsaw Education Foundation's Red Apple Grants for innovative enrichment opportunities for students.
