Community Open House Oct. 20 At Koinonia Nature Preserve

PIERCETON – A community open house at Koinonia Nature Preserve is scheduled for 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at 6147 S. CR 650E, Pierceton.
The public is invited to the free event.
Koinonia is a 100-acre preserve owned by Manchester University. Over the years, thousands of school children have had the opportunity to visit the preserve. Now is the public’s chance, no matter how old or young, to come explore it. There will be activities for children of all ages including: guided hike-and-seek, kids fishing, walk the talking geology trail and more.
At 7:30 p.m., there will be a night owl hike for anyone who would like to join. Come sit by the campfire and enjoy cookies and cider. There will be a meet-and-greet with Peace Studies Club, Environmental Science Club and Manchester University Admissions.
