Community Apple Orchard Seeks Volunteers To Adopt, Upkeep TreesAny fan of YouTube knows there are plenty of weird and just plain scratch-your-head type of videos.

And while it probably won't match the page views of the "Star Wars Kid" or the sneezing panda, add another one from a local contributor to that list.

Steve Kern owns a cottage on Lake Tippecanoe and was out on the lake June 19.

"We went out that morning to ski," said Kern. "I hadn't tried to ski in four years and I was going to try and slalom ski."

Among those joining Kern were Kyle Westcott who was holding a digital camera to capture Kern's run.

On the Marion native's first run, as he was attempting to get up on one ski, a fish, which Kern and his friends estimate to be about 4 feet long, comes flying through the frame.

"I was drinking water trying to get up on the ski and I thought why are they making all that racket up at the boat," said Kern.

Kern said he's been told the fish may either be a muskkie or pike while one friend offered up the suggestion it may be a gar.

With the boat in a shallow area of the lake, Kern said it did "kind of freak me out" to see that big of a fish glide in front of him.

Of course Kern said since he was too busy trying to get up on his ski, he had to look at the playback of the video to get the full effect.

Kern kept having friends tell him to post the video so Tuesday he created a Youtube account and posted it online.

Kern said while the video doesn't show it, he did get up on the ski during his second run.
