Editor, Times-Union: I’d like to commend David Kolbe for having the courage to speak out on the topic of marijuana and tell some truths and give some information that many of us who agree have not.
I have thought for years that money could be saved for the tax payers by not housing and feeding in our jails people who have participated in victimless activities which are no one’s business but their own.
Also, the economy could be improved in the employment of the many needed for the growth, regulation, harvesting, packaging, sale and taxation of marijuana.
I am sure we would all be surprised at the sheer numbers of those people, from all walks of life, who quietly and privately partake now and who would boost the economy even further by buying the legal product.
