NORTH MANCHESSTER -ÊManchester College's men's basketball team improved its overall season record to 5-1 with a 76-53 win over Eureka College Saturday at home. Leading the way for the Spartans was freshman Travis Haynes, who shot 6 of 8 from the field and 4 of 6 from the line for 17 points. Eric Swan and Marc Patterson added 13 and 10 points, respectively. Manchester will be in action again Dec. 8 at Huntington College with a 7 p.m. tipoff.

Grace College's women's basketball team competed in the consolation round of the Hampton Inn Concordia College Tournament Saturday and came away with a 63-52 win over Indiana Wesleyan. Senior Amy Doron led the Lancers with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Senior Tracey Mantega was named to the all-tournament team for the Lancers.
