SOUTH BEND -ÊGrace College's women's basketball team won its second consecutive game, defeating IUSB 65-51 Tuesday.
Kari Helmuth set a Grace record by knocking down six three-pointers in nine attempts. The previous record was five by Amy Mitchell in 1995.
Helmuth scored 27 points to lead all scorers. Amy Doron added 11 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in the win.
The win improves the Lancers' overall season record to 2-8. Grace will play at IPFW Saturday at 7:30 p.m. After Saturday, the Lancers will be off until Jan. 3.

Grace College's men's basketball team couldn't hold on to a 30-28 halftime lead and fell 71-63 to Spring Arbor Tuesday. The loss drops the Lancers to 5-8 overall. Ryan Bricker led the Lancers with 27 points and five assists. Dan Scharlach added 10 points, and Teryck Taylor contributed 11 rebounds and three blocked shots in the loss. Grace will host the Holiday Inn-vitational Friday and Saturday.
