SYRACUSE - Colleen M. Mitting, 48, of Syracuse, died Oct. 13, 2007, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 12, 1959, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Warren and Mary Mahoney Halverson. On Dec. 19, 1978, she married Mike Mitting, who survives.
Moving to Lake Wawasee from Wabash in 1996, she was a homemaker and co-owned and operated Mitting's Flowers & Greenhouses, Wabash, from 1986-96.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Lisa) Bevelhimer, Syracuse; her mother, Mary Halverson, Wabash; and five brothers, Jamie, Bill, David, John and Gary Halverson, all of Wabash. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.
