I have seen a lot of comments about the Warsaw Community High School basketball program and the coaching staff. So I thought I would bring some attention to one of the assistants currently involved with the program.
His name is David Wayne, and I had the brief privilege of meeting Mr. Wayne during the year my son was his student at Lincoln Elementary School. All of his students past and present totally respect him. Somehow he manages to bring out the best in all of them, especially when working together as a team.
I'm not sure if he would ever be interested in being the head coach but he understands the fundamentals of basketball, has experience, and most importantly has a natural gift of teaching kids at different levels.
This is not meant as anything against the current coach or others on the staff, but maybe sometime in the future Mr. Wayne could be given the opportunity to see what he can do.
