SYRACUSE - Clydean Lewallen, 60, of Syracuse, died at 4:49 a.m. July 27, 2009, in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Forest, La., to William Clyde and Delia A. Stanley Bowen.
She attended school in Mississippi and moved to Syracuse 40 years ago from Mississippi. She was a nurse's assistant with her last employment being at Avalon Village Nursing Home, Ligonier, for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Melissa (and spouse Robert) Coy, Syracuse; a son, Charles (and fiancé Rachel) Lewallen, Silver Lake; four granddaughters; three sisters: Carolyn (and spouse Joel) Turner, Goshen; Phyllis (and spouse Pete) Vaughn, New Paris; and Lou Ann Hemphill, Meridian, Miss.; and two brothers, Doug (and spouse Ann) Bowen, New Albany, Miss., and Clark (and spouse Bessie Mae) Bowen, Meridian.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery, Syracuse, with the Rev. John Lutton officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse.
