SYRACUSE – Clifford D. “Nick” Nicodemus, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Feb. 11, 2013, in his residence. He was born Sept. 26, 1938, in Elkhart County, to Cecil and Evelyn Swihart Nicodemus. On Aug. 5, 1961, he married Judy Miller, who survives. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Sea Nymph and JC Pontoon. He served on the Syracuse Fire Dept. and Syracuse Town Board. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Also surviving are two sons, Jeffery (and spouse Bernadine) Nicodemus and Jay D. (and spouse Bridgett) Nicodemus, all of Syracuse; and a sister, Shirley Havens, Millersburg. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery with military honors.
