CLAYPOOL - The staff of Claypool Elementary is planning an open house for the community June 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
A story in Monday's edition incorrectly stated the open house was tonight.
The construction phase of the renovated and expanded Claypool Elementary is nearing completion.
Warsaw Community Schools is providing the open house to the public as an opportunity for the community, parents and students, who have been so supportive of the project, to be able see the expanded and updated Claypool Elementary School.
There also will be a book fair and silent auction during the open house supported by the Claypool Elementary PTO.
In 2004, Claypool Elementary, along with Silver Lake and Atwood schools, were closed. In 2008, the school board decided to reopen Claypool as well as renovate and improve it along with Jefferson Elementary. The board also decided to build new Madison and Leesburg elementary schools.
All the schools are expected to be open for the school year by August.
