CLAYPOOL - REDUCTION OF RATES & CHANGES

NOTICE OF A HEARING ON PROPOSED REDUCTION OF RATES AND CHARGES Property owners and other interested parties in the Town of Claypool are hereby notified that Ordinance Number 2011-3-1, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance Number 1999-3-1, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance Number 1997-6-1, The Sewer Rate Ordinance, reducing rates and charges for services to be rendered by the Claypool Sanitary Sewer Works, was introduced at a meeting of the Town Council. At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7:00 P.M., on March 21, 2011, in the Claypool Town Hall, there will be a public hearing on the matter of the rates and charges, and consideration of the adoption of said Ordinance Number 2011-3-1 which provides in part as follows: Section 1. That the current provisions for rates and charges based upon the flow rate of water used per one thousand gallons shall be repealed and rendered null and void. Section 2. That no charge shall be assessed other than the base rates for flows of water used each month less than one thousand gallons. That in addition to the base rate, charges will be assessed for flow rates of water used in excess of one thousand gallons per month for user charges in the amount of Two Dollars and One Cent ($2.01) per thousand gallons, and debt service charges in the amount of One Dollar and Thirty One Cents ($1.31) per thousand gallons, or total charges in the amount of Three Dollars and Thirty Two Cents ($3.32) per one thousand gallons. These charges will be pro rated and assessed based upon the per gallon flow of water used for each user each month. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall supercede the provisions of Ordinance Number 1999-3-1, An Ordinance Amending Ordinance Number 1997-6-1, The Sewer Rate Ordinance, as applicable, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and due publication as provided by law. Those provisions of Ordinance Number 1999-3-1 which are not modified by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. At such hearing and prior to final adoption of said Ordinance all interested parties may appear and be heard. A copy of Ordinance Number 2011-3-1 may be examined at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Claypool Town Hall, during regular business hours. Dated this 7th day of March, 2011. Arlene J.
