ORDINANCE NO. 2014-08-02 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12013-03-01 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR THE USE OF AND SERVICES RENDERED BY THE WATER UTILITY OF THE TOWN OF CLAYPOOL Whereas, on April 15, 2013 the Town Board of the Town of Claypool passed Ordinance No. 2013-03-01, an ordinance establishing rates and charges for the use of and services rendered by the water utility of the Town of Claypool. Whereas, it was subsequently determined that an error existed in Section 1, Tapping Fees, erroneously stating the charge for installation of $475.00; and, Whereas, the Town Board of the Town of Claypool wishes to amended said Ordinance to correct such fees. Be or ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Claypool, Indiana as follows: That Section 1 of Ordinance 2013-03-01, in particular that portion of designated Tapping Fees, be, and it hereby is, amended to provide as follows: Tapping fees: A tap charge shall be collected from each customer prior to connection to the water system, in an amount sufficient to reimburse the Town for the labor and material necessary for tapping the main and installation of service from main to the curb stop and the cost of furnishing and installing a suitable water meter. The charge for a 5/8"-3/4" installation shall be in the amount of $800.00. The charge for a 1" or large service shall be the labor and material costs incurred; in no event shall the charge be less than $800.00. Be it further ordained that Ordinance No. 2013-03-01 in all other respects remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
