ORDINANCE NO. 10-10-01 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR MOWING ABANDONED, VACANT, OR UNKEPT PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Claypool has heretofore established ordinances providing for the mowing of abandoned, vacant, or unkept property as well as penalties for the violation of ordinances relating to same; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to establish the rates and charges to be levied against the homeowner and/or other responsible party under these ordinances. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CLAYPOOL, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the rates and charges for the mowing of abandoned, vacant, or unkept property will be One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for the first hour, and One Dollar ($1.00) per minute thereafter. These charges will be assessed against the homeowner and/or other responsible party in addition to any fine and/or other penalty for violation of the applicable ordinances. Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and due publication as provided by law.
