CLAYPOOL - The Claypool Town Council members met Monday night to discuss a number of issues.
The contract with Sweetheimer Trash Removal is being examined, the petty cash amount has been raised, an administrative meeting has been called for Monday and the possibility of a skateboard park being built is under discussion.
The contract with Sweetheimer provides for five dumpsters, but the question has been raised if the dumpsters are currently being paid for separately. This matter will continue to be researched, and will be discussed on a later date.
Arlene Leiter, clerk-treasurer, asked the board members if the petty cash could be raised for change making and incidentals. The members approved $200.
An administrative meeting has been called for Monday to discuss the contract with Dickson Engineering regarding the water tower. Any other business discussions will be brought before the board at this meeting.
The possibility of a skateboard park was brought up Monday night. The town council members must establish a park board before any grant money is given. This issue will be considered at the February town meeting.
