Claypool Clerk Quits; Investigation Under Way

Posted

Claypool Clerk-Treasurer Deloris Rose resigned effective Monday, according to Kosciusko County Democrat Party Chairman Steve Haines Tuesday afternoon.

The Indiana State Board of Accounts has begun an investigation into the town's funds, according to Marilyn Rudolph with the ISBA. Until the investigation is complete, she said, she could not provide any more information.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Detective Todd Sautters said no charges have been filed against anyone as the KCSD is waiting for an audit from the ISBA. Until the investigation is complete, Sautters said, no further information is available.

Any Democrat who is a Claypool resident interested in the position should contact Haines as soon as possible at 574-269-4581. Declaration of candidacy forms are available at the Kosciusko County Clerk's office.
