Claypool BlazeA house was destroyed by fire Wednesday in rural Kosciusko County. The house, at 9611 S. CR 100E, Claypool, caught fire about 2 p.m. Firefighters were on scene until about 5 p.m. and had the fire knocked down in about 30 minutes to an hour, according to Silver Lake Fire Chief John Conley. The home is owned by Bill and Amanda Guy, according to property records. Amanda reported suffering from smoke inhalation but she waited for her husband before going to the hospital. No other injuries were reported, Conley said. Claypool, Sidney, Pleasant Township and North Manchester fire departments assisted at the scene.
