CLAYPOOL – Author Marc Thomas Eckel announces the release of his new Christian novel, “Leperd.” Based on three verses in Luke 5, “Leperd” is a fictional account of a man many know little about. In distress and anguish, this man broke all cultural norms to enter the city – an unthinkable act – to see the Master. Tychicus never imagined how life would change just inside the city gates of Tiberias, off the coast of the Sea of Galilee. In a moment, his life would veer down an unwanted detour that would lead him toward total desolation, heartache and exile as a cursed man – a leper. After losing everything, he finds all he needs down a road that leads to restoration at the feet of Jesus. According to a press release, “this biblical novel is a historically accurate fictional tale that leads to physical cleansing and spiritual healing for metphorical ‘lepers.’” Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com Eckel is a Christian performance artist with Splat Experience and performed during Casting Crowns’s “The Altar and the Door Tour.” He performed the painting presentation “Truth” on stage with the band during the songs “The Voice of Truth” and “The Word is Alive” in 82 cities across the United States during fall 2007 and spring 2008.
