NAPPANEE - Claudia Merrel Pate, 62, died at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 6, 2007, in Courtyard Nursing Home, Goshen, where she resided.
She was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Kosciusko County, to George H. and Catherine L. Hubler. She married Robert Malone, they were divorced. She married William Pate, who preceded her in death.
Living in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties most of her life, she was a Warsaw High School graduate, where she was a cheerleader. She formerly worked at Tap and Dine Restaurant, Nappanee.
Surviving are a son, Robert Malone, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Becky (and spouse Bobby) Cavender, Nappanee; a granddaughter; a sister, Sandra Meminger; and two brothers, Robert Reneer and Elmer Schwartz.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with Pastor Joe Mendel officiating. There will be cremation.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
