Claude V. “Butch” Myers Jr., 65, Pierceton, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at his home.

He was born Oct. 6, 1952, in Dover, Del., to Claude V. Sr. and Tonya Geniva Warne Myers.

He was a lifetime Pierceton area resident, graduated in 1972 from Whitko High School in South Whitley, and was a United States Army veteran.

He was married Nov. 17, 1984, in Columbia City, to Deborah Sue “Deb” Wilson, who preceded him on Sept. 2, 2017.

He formerly worked for Byron Miller as an electrician, Gooding RV, Marble Creations and Starcraft in Goshen.

He is survived by two daughters, Heather Myers, Pierceton, and Christina Jean Myers, Larwill; a son, Chad Michael Myers, Pierceton; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mollie (Russell) Starkey, Wolf Lake, and Tonya “Tony” (Terry) Staker, Fort Wayne; and a brother, John Myers, Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, in the funeral home, with Pastor Bret Frymier of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial and military graveside rites will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Snodgrass Cemetery) near Larwill.
