Claude Lee ChrismanClaude Lee Chrisman, age 87, of Winona Lake, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, formerly of Nappanee, died at 6:08 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence after a short illness.  

He was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Ligonier, to Harley L. and Dorothy Dickenson Chrisman. Mr. Chrisman lived his lifetime in this area. He was a 1953 graduate of Ligonier High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1953–1957. His first marriage was to Mary Rockstroh, March 29, 1958, in Nappanee. She preceded in death July 22, 2000. He married Ruth Ann Mylin Jan. 17, 2002.

Lee had worked for 33 years at Holiday Rambler and retired from Monaco Coach. He was a member of Elkhart Masonic Lodge Goshen Chapter Council and Commandary, South Bend Valley Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine, Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne York Rite College #55, KYCH Yeoman of York, Elkhart, Allied Masonic Pokagon Council 147, Elkhart Shrine Club Scooter Patrol and Nappanee American Legion. He was an avid golfer.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann; children: Keith (Caroline) Chrisman, Haslett, Mich.; Fred (Deborah) Chrisman, Warsaw; Julie (Nate) Yoder, Goshen; seven grandchildren: Jessica (Aaron) Frach, Michael (Regina) Chrisman, Ryan (Kelsey Prevost) Chrisman, Jamie (Daniel) Martin, Jarad (Stefanie) Miller, Andre Chrisman, Austin Chrisman; nine great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Rick (JoLynn) Mylin, Kris (Dennis) Cultice, both of Warsaw; four stepgrandchildren: Evan Cultice, Ryan Cultice, Kyler Mylin, Taylor (Ethan) Brown; and brother, Ray Chrisman, Lagrange. He was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Leamon, Nancy Tierney; and brothers, Keith Chrisman and Don Chrisman.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Family and friends may call one hour prior to funeral services, which will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 23 at the Funeral Home.  Pastor Jeff Pfeifer, Warsaw Community Church, will officiate.  Burial with military graveside rites by Nappanee American Legion will be in Bremen Cemetery.
