On May 22, scholarships were awarded to high school seniors at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center. Alexandra Denault-Floyd and Spencer Slabaugh were awarded the first-ever scholarships from the Warsaw High School Class of 1961 from money raised from a silent auction at its 55th class reunion Aug. 12. Also, donations from classmates who couldn’t attend the reunion assisted with the scholarships. Pictured presenting the scholarships is Viv Kelly (C), member of the WHS Class of 1961, to Slabaugh (L) and Denault (R). Denault will attend Concordia College, and Slabaugh is attending Indiana University.
