Class Act Dance Troupe will present their annual dance concert Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Lakeview Middle School Auditorium.

The performance will include pieces choreographed by Indianapolis-based choreographer Diane Gudat, along with performances by Dance Etc., preparatory groups from Debra Collier's School of Dance.The troupe's concert kicks off the celebration of National Dance Week, April 27-May 3. National Dance Week is held annually to raise public awareness of the benefits of dance. The students of Debra Collier's School of Dance will host "Bring-A-Friend" week in honor of the event.
The studio provides various opportunities for students to develop their interest in dance, including the upcoming jazz and hip hop summer workshops with guest instructor Shani Barnett. In addition to a six-week summer session, Pretty Princess, Ballerina Barbie®, Cinderella, The High School Musical® and Belle's Ball Theme Camps are available. Boys Athletic Boot Camp is available for boys ages 5 to 10 and Drama Camp is offered for ages 9 to 14.
CADT, a non-profit performing company, provides students with additional opportunities to use their dance training and develop their abilities through the creative outlets of performance events and community involvement. The award-winning troupe competes on the local, regional and national levels and has performed for such events as Six Flags Great America's DanceFest, the WNBA Indiana Fever and the Indiana Pacers. The troupe will return to Orlando in June for their second performance with Walt Disney World's Magic Music Days on the Galaxy Palace Theater Stage in the Magic Kingdom.
