Clara Marie Lovasko, 92, of Warsaw, died at 7:10 a.m. Jan. 25, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born June 14, 1917, in Whiting, to Joseph and Emilia Hahn Matlon. On Oct. 28, 1939, in Whiting, she married Joseph Stephen Lovasko, who died in 1989.
Moving to Warsaw from Whiting in 1973, she was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She was a former Melloaires member and a member of the Rosary Altar Society at Sacred Heart; the Young at Heart Club; Senior Activities Center; Kosciusko County Senior Citizens Club; and Kosciusko YMCA.
Surviving are a daughter, Dottie (and spouse Dennis) Marbach, Bluffton; two sons, Dr. Joseph H. (and spouse Cindy) Lovasko, St. John, and Thomas (and spouse Sue) Lovasko, Port Charolotte, Fla.; five grandchildren: Joe Lovasko, Schereville; Jen (and spouse John) Engle, Noblesville; Denise (and spouse Richard) Marbach Norris, Brooklyn, N.Y.; David Marbach, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Vanessa (and spouse Jake) Eitel, Crown Point; and great-grandchildren, J.T., Titus, Jocelyn, Jack and Jordyn. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Matt, who died in 2001; four brothers; and five sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. (EST) Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, with Father Phillip DeVolder officiating. Burial will be in Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, with a committal service at 1 p.m. (CST).
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. (EST) Thursday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, and one half hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
