City Taking Applications For 50/50 Sidewalk Program

The city of Warsaw is accepting applications for their 50/50 sidewalk program.
Applications are due by April 30. The first 25 received and approved applications will be guaranteed to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
The 50/50 sidewalk program is an opportunity for property owners to partner with the city on neighborhood improvements and contribute 50% of the concrete cost to install a new sidewalk in front of their property, according to a news release from the city. In turn, the city of Warsaw will pay for the remaining 50%, as well as provide all labor and installation.
All applications will be screened prior to approval to ensure program criteria is met. Approved requests will then be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis after payment has been received. If the construction season allows for additional sidewalk requests to be completed, additional applicants will be contacted at a later time.
