Posted
Deer-reduction nuisance zones for this year were approved by Warsaw City Council Monday.

Archers again this year will hunt in the nuisance zones including the entire area around Spring Hill, Oakwood Cemetery, Kosciusko Community Hospital and U.S. 30.

The Deer Task Force also has discussed possibly expanding the nuisance zones to include the north side of the Warsaw Street Department, 794 W. Center St., northeast of Rozella Golf Course and the west side of Country Club Road.

Jeff Grose, deer task force chair, said the task force will meet again to discuss this year's reduction effort before proposing possible additional nuisance zones.

A mandatory training session will be Sept. 13 at Warsaw Police Department for archers interested in participating in this year's reduction efforts. Applications are now available for archers at WPD.

In other business, the council approved a resolution to designate R & B Investors Partnership, 800 S. Buffalo St., as an economic revitalization area.

The business currently has 115 employees and will create five additional distribution and service jobs.

The business also will create a 6,600-square-foot building addition and another 3,600 square feet of dock space totaling 10,000 square feet of additional space. The space will be used for warehouse and distribution, according to Josh Wildman, R&B Investors Partnership vice president.
