Dangerous temperatures and high humidity are forecast for much of this week.
In response, the city of Warsaw will host a daytime cooling station for residents at the Pete Thorn Center (also the site of Kosciusko Community Senior Services), 800 N. Park Ave. Residents with animals that need cooling will need to bring their own kennel (today and Friday only). The cooling station will be open through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fellowship Missions, 1520 Winona Ave., is also providing a cooling station during daytime hours. The cooling station is open through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The city encourages residents to check on family members and neighbors, bring pets inside and only go outdoors if absolutely necessary.
