City Offering Auto Pay Option For Wastewater

Posted
Warsaw residents can now have their monthly wastewater payments deducted automatically from their checking or savings account.
The city is offering an auto pay option for residents to pay for wastewater payment bills.
Residents can visit warsaw.in.gov to access a form to participate in the auto pay option, email mlplummer@warsaw.in.gov or call the wastewater payment office at 574-372-9560.
The auto pay plan will help residents in several ways, according to Mary Lou Plummer, Warsaw Wastewater office manager.
It will save residents time by having to write and mail fewer checks.
It also helps residents pay their bills in a convenient and timely manner – even if they are on vacation or out of town.
If residents’ payments are always on time, it helps maintain good credit and saves postage, and there are no late fees.
Plummer explains how the auto pay system works.
Customers authorize regularly scheduled payments to be made from their checking or savings account to pay for their wastewater bills.
The payment will be automatically withdrawn from their account on approximately the 28th of each month.Proof of payment will appear on the resident’s bank statement.
The authority a resident gives to charge an account will remain in effect until the resident notifies the city in writing to terminate the authorization.
The wastewater department modernized last September by upgrading its  wastewater software, Plummer said.
This new software, Keystone, offers more efficient bookkeeping and is user friendly, according to Plummer.
