NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY OF WARSAW, INDIANA, REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION REGARDING THE DESIGNATION AND DECLARATION OF CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY OF WARSAW, INDIANA, AS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREAS TO EXPAND THE CONSOLIDATED NORTHERN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND CONSOLIDATION OF THE WARSAW CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND CONSOLIDATED NORTHERN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AS AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA
Notice is hereby given that the City of Warsaw, Indiana, Redevelopment Commission (the “Commission”) will conduct a public hearing at its regular monthly meeting on June 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (local time) in the Common Council Chambers at City Hall, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana, 46580 to consider proposed amendments to (i) the declaratory resolution, as previously amended (the “Northern Declaratory Resolution”), and the economic development plan (the “Northern Plan”) previously approved by the Commission in connection with the Consolidated Northern Economic Development Area (the “Northern Area”) and related allocation area, and to (ii) the declaratory resolution, as previously amended (the “Central Declaratory Resolution”), and the development plan (the “Central Plan”) previously approved by the Commission in connection with the Warsaw Central Development Area (the “Central Area”) and related allocation area. The proposed amendments, which have been preliminarily approved pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Commission on May 6, 2024 (the “Resolution”), would amend the Northern Declaratory Resolution, the Central Declaratory Resolution, the Northern Plan and the Central Plan, respectively, to (i) amend the boundaries of the Northern Area as described in the Resolution to add the 2024 Danco Expansion Area (as defined therein), (ii) amend the boundaries of the Northern Area as described in the Resolution to add the 2024 Consolidated Expansion Area (as defined therein), (iii) amend the Northern Plan to provide a new property within the expanded Northern Area to be added to the Commission’s acquisition list, (iv) consolidate the Central Area into the expanded Northern Area to create a single economic development area to be known as the Consolidated Northern and Central Economic Development Area (the “Consolidated Area”), and (v) consolidate the Northern Plan and the Central Plan as the economic development plan for the Consolidated Area (clauses (i) through and including (v), collectively, the “Amendments”).
Written remonstrances to the Resolution and the actions provided for therein must be filed with the Commission at the office of the City Planner, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana, 46580 by 2:00 p.m. (local time) on Monday, June 3, 2024.
At the public hearing, the Commission will hear any person interested in the proceedings and will consider all written remonstrances and objections that have been filed and will determine the public utility and benefit of the proposed Amendments. The Resolution can be inspected at the office of the City Planner, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN 46580.
