ORDINANCE  NUMBER 2024-07-01
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 74 OF THE WARSAW CITY CODE
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 9-21-1 authorizes local authorities to regulate traffic by means of a traffic control device; and,
WHEREAS, the Warsaw Traffic Safety Commission has recommended to the Common Council of the City of Warsaw certain actions that will prevent traffic accidents on city streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the
City of Warsaw, Indiana, that Chapter 74, Traffic and Vehicles, Article III, Operation of Vehicles Generally, of the Warsaw City Code be amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 74
TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES ARTICLE III
OPERATION OF VEHICLES GENERALLY
Section 74-122 Speed Zones
Item 40 shall be added to the ordinance:
(40) On Shelden Street from the roundabout on CR 300 north up to 350 north and extending to SR 15 the speed limit shall be 35 miles per hour
Section 74-128 One-Way Stops
Item 28 shall be removed from the ordinance:
(28) At the North-east comer of the intersection of W Main and N Union Street.
Items 306 thru 319 shall be added to read as follows:
(306) At the South-west comer of North Pointe Drive and Husky Trail
(307) At the North-east comer of North Pointe Drive and Mariners Drive
(308) At the North-east comer of W Main Street and Miami Street
(309) At the South-east corner of W Main Street and W Main Street
(310) At the North-west comer of Miami Street and W Center Street
(311) At the North-east comer of Frontier Drive and Shelden Street

(151) At the North-east and South-west intersection of Poplar Street, Shelden Street, and Frontier Drive
Section 74-131 All Way Stops
Item 22 and 23 shall be added to read as follows:
(22) On all corners of Parker Street, Husky Trail and Menards Parking lot
(23) On all comers of Petro Drive and Shelden Street
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of passage. Any parts of the Warsaw Traffic Control Ordinance which are in conflict with this ordinance are hereby suspended by this ordinance.
