NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Nappanee, Indiana ("City") that the Common Council of the City will meet at the City Hall, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. (Local Time) on October 2, 2023, to conduct a public hearing and consider the following additional appropriation of the bonds of the City: an appropriation in the amount not to exceed Two Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,750,000) on account of the cost of the construction of certain road and sidewalk infrastructure, together with all necessary appurtenances, related improvements, equipment and incidental expenses in connection therewith, including a premium for municipal bond insurance, if necessary, and on account of the issuance of bonds therefor. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the issuance and sale of bonds by the City.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy.
Taxpayers of the City appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
