Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the
City of Nappanee Park Department
5-Year Master Plan
The City of Nappanee Parks Department is seeking qualified firms or individuals to submit their qualifications for the development of a comprehensive 5-Year Master Plan. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to identify and select a qualified consultant or firm with expertise in urban planning, landscape architecture, and recreational planning to assist the City in developing a forward-looking and strategic master plan for its parks and recreational facilities.
Project Overview:
The City of Nappanee is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its residents by providing well-maintained parks and recreational spaces that cater to a diverse community. The selected consultant or firm will be responsible for conducting a thorough assessment of the existing parks and recreational facilities, engaging with stakeholders, and developing a comprehensive 5-Year Master Plan that aligns with the community's needs and goals.
Qualification Submission Requirements:
Interested firms or individuals are invited to submit their qualifications based on the following requirements:
1. Overview of the Firm/Individual: Provide a brief overview of your firm or individual qualifications, including relevant experience in developing master plans for parks and recreational facilities.
2. Project Team: Identify the key team members who will be involved in this project, highlighting their experience and expertise in urban planning, landscape architecture, and recreational planning.
3. Past Experience: Provide a summary of similar projects your firm or individual has completed, including examples of successfully implemented master plans for parks or recreational areas.
4. Approach to the Project: Outline your proposed approach to developing the 5-Year Master Plan, including the methodology, timeline, and community engagement strategies.
5. References: Include at least three references from previous clients who can speak to the quality and success of your work.

Submission Deadline:
All qualified firms or individuals must submit their qualifications by May 24, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.

Selection Process:
The City of Nappanee Parks Department will evaluate the submitted qualifications based on the criteria outlined in this RFQ. Shortlisted firms or individuals may be invited for an interview.
