ORDINANCE NO. 1629
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1179 IN ITS ENTIRETY,
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1375 IN ITS ENTIRETY, REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1264, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1530 IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND ESTABLISHING CERTAIN MISCELLANEOUS FEES
FOR THE CITY OF NAPPANEE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, the City of Nappanee Common Council has established certain and various fees for miscellaneous filings and permits; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary, from time to time, to recover expenses incurred in the administration of certain municipal activities involving the issuance of permits; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary, from time to time, to charge certain miscellaneous fees, to recover expenses incurred in the administration of City functions; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 1179 and Ordinance No. 1375 be, and they hereby are, repealed in their entirety and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1264 be, Ordinance No. 1530 be, and they hereby repealed in their entirety, and it is hereby repealed.
Section 2. The following permits related to residential construction and demolition, the following permits related to commercial construction and demolition, the following Gas Pressure Test Inspection, the following filing fees related to submissions to the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and the Stormwater Utility, shall all be issued upon prior payment of fees pursuant to the following schedule as outlined in EXHIBIT A:
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, adoption, and publication in accordance with I.C. 36-4-6-14(e) and all other applicable law.

NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSAGE
Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-3-1, the City of Nappanee hereby provides official notification that Ordinance 1629 has been duly passed and enacted by the Common Council.
Ordinance 1629 amends the previous ordinance pertaining to the determination of rates for commercial, residential, and miscellaneous permit fees within the city limits. This amendment is made to ensure that the permit fee structure remains fair, equitable, and reflective of current administrative and operational costs.
This ordinance will take effect on November 1, 2024, and all applications for permits submitted after this date will be subject to the new fee schedule.
